Client:

Location:

Newark, Arkansas

Designer:

The initial phase of this project consisted of demolition of over 50,000 sq. ft. of existing elementary school space and renovation of the  remaining 17,000 sq. ft. of space to be used as a new pre-K for the Trumann School District. The existing structure was tested for asbestos. Subsequently, 18,000 sq. ft. was abated by Nabholz’ Environmental Services and then demolished and hauled off. The center has space for 120 children and has seven classrooms, each with a wash basin for hand washing. Additionally, two restrooms per class were added along with two transition rooms, controlled access entry, new sidewalks and canopies to connect the existing facility, new roofing over the existing cafeteria and kitchen, and new metal wall panels over much of the existing walls to create a more uniform look.
