Brock Cline, Jonesboro
Brock Cline, Business Development Officer for Nabholz Construction Services recently became a graduate of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Arkansas Class VI. Leadership Arkansas is a program designed to take a statewide view of the economic and political challenges that face Arkansas. The program offers leadership opportunities that expand the impact of community leaders across the state. Created by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas, Leadership Arkansas builds a sense of statewide community by identifying and training individuals with the passion and commitment to become personally engaged in issues, programs and activities aimed at building a betterArkansas.
Cline has worked with Nabholz Construction Services for over three years and is a lifelong resident of northeast Arkansas. “I am honored to be a graduate of such a great program. I would encourage anyone that wants to learn about Arkansas’ history, successes and challenges to apply,” said Cline.
Leadership Arkansas Class VI graduated 39 leaders representing communities from all across the state. Scott Caldwell, Vice President for Market Services with Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, provided the class member’s assessment of the program during the Leadership Arkansas Graduation Ceremony, held at theLavernE.WeberNationalGuardBureauProfessionalEducationCenteratCampRobinson. Tad Bohannon, partner with Wright, Lindsey,Jenningslaw firm inLittle Rockwas also on hand to present graduation certificates. Bohannon served as chairman of this year’s Leadership Arkansas Class.
Leadership Arkansas has been fortunate to have the support of the Arkansas General Assembly with the former Speaker of the House serving as class chairman and members of the General Assembly participating in the class.
Leadership Arkansas sessions include:
- annual educational, issues-oriented nine-month class program
- seven day and a half sessions are held in various communities throughout the state
- Arkansasleaders who represent a wide geographic base and who have diverse backgrounds and vocations
- exposure to the many social and environmental complexities of the state
- on-site demonstrations and tours
- diverse geographical and cultural experiences
- insight into the people, places and history that influence public policies
- fun and casual settings which foster new relationships and camaraderie
LeadershipArkansasnow has over 350 alumni with a program goal of one participant from each of the 75 counties within five years.
