Nabholz Construction served as general contractor on this three-story, 84,758-square-foot student center in Bentonville, Arkansas. MAHG Architecture of Fort Smith designed the facility to accommodate the diverse needs of the NWACC students.
The first floor of the new Student Center features the Trammel Student Union, a food court and dining area. The food court is comprised of five stations housing different food service choices for the students. Also located on the first floor is a Barnes and Noble bookstore. Other attractions on the first floor include an expanded game room, student lounge, clubs and organizations offices, a commuter lounge with lockers, and an information desk to the right of the main entry way.
The second floor of the new facility houses all of the needs for students registering for classes at NWACC. This is where the Financial Aid, Student Records, Admissions, the Cashiers Office, and the Advising Center are all housed. There are also sections for Transfer Services, Career Development, and a Multi-Cultural Center.
The third floor features classrooms and faculty office space. White boards are located on nearly every wall of each classroom. The windows allow for a spectacular view and plenty of natural light. A new Physics Lab, faculty lounge, computer lab, and faculty offices are also located on the third floor.
