White River Medical Center
Josephine Raye Rogers Center for Women and Imaging

Nabholz Construction was selected to serve as Construction Manager for the Josephine Raye Rogers Center for Women and Imaging located in Batesville, Arkansas.

This three-story healthcare center which was designed by Cromwell Architects and Engineers of Little Rock, Arkansas focuses on three areas; diagnostic imaging, women’s health services, and patient rooms.

A beautiful water feature graces the front entrance and just above is a crystal chandelier, which measures over 16’ in length. A decision was made by the owner and design team to break outside the box of normal hospital construction and install the first gas fireplace ever placed in a hospital in Arkansas. This became the center point for the portrait of the donor’s wife, whom the building was named after.

The first floor encompasses the WRMC Imaging and Women’s Health Resource Center and includes four x-ray rooms, two mammography suites, two ultrasound rooms, two nuclear medicine suites, bone densitometer, CT scanner, and an MRI suite.

A 3,000 square foot meeting room was constructed to accommodate 428 people and can be divided into three separate meeting rooms. Each room is equipped with a complete audio/video system.

The second floor features a gynecology unit with eight private rooms and a family centered maternity unit with labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care provided in the same room. This floor will also include a level II neonatal nursery. The third floor will expand the hospital’s Progressive Care Unit.
